Editorial Oversight

Editorial Board

An editorial board is appointed by the editor-in-chief to provide guidance on MedEdPORTAL peer review and editorial policies as well as the strategic priorities and positioning of the program. Each member of the MedEdPORTAL Editorial Board is expected to (1) present unbiased, independent, and professional advice to the editor-in-chief, (2) maintain confidentiality about editorial board activities and discussion, and (3) sign a disclosure form to affirm that he or she has read, understands, and agrees to abide by the conflict of interest policy and also agrees to disclose any known conflicts or to state that no conflicts exist at that time. Conflicts of interest must be disclosed to the editor-in-chief, who will determine how to manage, reduce, or eliminate any such conflict.

Associate Editors

Associate editors assist with the recruitment of submissions and peer reviewers, employ their knowledge and expertise in the assignment of reviewers during the peer review process and review of submissions, and provide publication recommendations to the editor-in-chief.
